STUDY GROUPS ON INTERNATIONAL CO-OPERATION 

One of our associations major aims is international co-operation, based on the protection and promotion of  human rights.

Even today, in an period based on modernity and great development, human rights are not respected yet in too many countries on the contrary they are violated on a regular basis. For example less developed countries are still taken in a constant state of poverty and starvation due to frequent conflicts, exploitation by multinational companies and unequal distribution of the income.

Universo has made a target of its activity the total elimination of fear and mistrust towards “the other”, the “one who is different from” caused by disinformation and prejudices, helping people to understand the “difference”.

The steps on the path of effective respect of human rights must be supported by initiatives of various kind and in this context a deep and accurate knowledge of the local situation is needed. Aimed to attain this target, Universo has given rise to several study groups dealing with any single country. The starting point is to gather information about minorities, the history, the degree of development and the local  initiatives oriented to increase human rights evolution. The second step is the identification of active project suitable to be joined or the beginning of new ones.

It is possible to achieve this target by close contacts with local partners who can guide us by their own experience. We strongly believe in any new idea which can help us to build the future by means of the present . We have already performed this idea by the work of many groups, such as:

These groups are being chosen following the preferences of the members.

However we do not exclude the possibility to activate new and different ones. If any reader happens to have any interesting information on any interesting NGO he/she could inform us, Universo has never precluded the possibility to attend to a working group to anybody.
